Again, just because it works in Jerusalem doesn't mean it will work at LAX or O'Hare; the logistics are different. It's probably worth a try, but the suggestion Americans and Canadians are more tolerant of impositions doesn't really follow from evidence in the form of security checks to even enter the property or buildings. Perhaps such additional levels of security are wise, but let's not pretend less obtrusive yet stricter security demonstrates a lower Israeli tolerance for invasiveness. That we don't have security checks when you enter the grounds AND airport buildings probably has less to do with incompetence than with the frequency with which Americans would respond to "who are you and where do you come from?" with "screw off and die, you're not my mother". Something tells me that conversation doesn't end with "have a nice day, sir"....
