The last time they did that Reagan fired and replaced them all thanks to the powers granted him by the Taft-Hartley Act. Plane crashes spiked almost immediately and the term "wind shear" entered the common lexicon to avoid admitting the real problem, but at least we showed those evil unions (who somehow still have far too much power despite single digit membership nationally).
Pat downs strike me as a reasonable alternative to invasive searches without warrants. If you dislike the policy, I suggest doing what others who dislike it are doing and taking it up with the TSA, not the other people who dislike the policy.
Because being sexually molested is a viable alternative to the unknown long-term effects of high-intensity terahertz radiation?
