Not that I consider that an excuse for what Hoffa said but, unlike Hoffa, Perry never mentioned the ballot box (which is only marginally relevant since the Fed Chairman is appointed by an elected official rather than directly elected). Perry made clear that, in his stated (and approving) opinion, Bernanke would be greeted by unpleasant ACTS, not words, if he ventured to TX. That's not the kind of attitude I want in my states chief law enforcement officer; it conjures up images of corrupt Southern cops that continue stigmatizing our home.
