I did: "Addressing a political rally in Iowa on Monday... Joel Send a noteboard - 13/09/2011 04:26:57 AM
"the Texas governor attacked suggestions by Bernanke that with the economy again struggling the Federal Reserve may resort to another round of buying trillions of dollars of bonds, known as quantitative easing.

"Perry said that would amount to little more than an attempt to buy support at next year's election, at a huge cost to the country.

"'If this guy prints more money between now and the election, I dunno what y'all would do to him in Iowa but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas. Printing more money to play politics at this particular time in American history is almost treacherous – or treasonous in my opinion,' said Perry. "

The NYT put it this way: "The comments from Mr. Perry, when he told an audience on Monday evening that the Fed should not print more money, provoked a swift and sharp rebuke from Republicans who worked in the administration of George W. Bush, who originally appointed Mr. Bernanke."
Perry was not addressing a crowd he was answering a question as he got on a bus.

No, he was not, he was adddressing a crowd directly. Nice politician style job of sidestepping my question though: Can we finally agree that "I dunno what ya'll would do to him in in IA but we would treat him pretty ugly down in TX" is an incitement to ACTS, not words? I have MY facts straight; if you prefer fantasy, well, it would hardly be the first time, so I'll just cut to the part where I throw up my hands. Nothing I say will change anything and it's still all irrelevant political theater on which I don't really want to waste my time anymore anyway.
