You're kidding, right? Dannymac Send a noteboard - 23/09/2011 02:55:44 PM
The NAACP is a lobbying organization meant to support a specific minority. Specifically, black people. So, no, they do not rally for white prisoners. That would be a blatant misuse of their funds and departure from their charter. They are the National Association for the Advancement of Colored Persons, not the Happy Happy Protest Everything That is Wrong Club.

And read up on White Privilege, sometime. White people do not NEED our own version of the NAACP... we are already living in a society where things are substantially tipped in our favor.

And his statements indicated that our society abhors the execution of a black man, where the stats clearly indicate otherwise. Perhaps he was actually in possession of those facts, you could be right, but as he reacted in a way that indicated that he was not, I assumed his ignorance, rather than his stupidity.

All of the numbers I have presented so far are from the Justice Department. I haven't been able to find any specific count of black suspects vs white suspects, which would be interesting information, but I have also found this interesting tidbit... only 50% of murder victims since 1976 have been white... and yet 75% of the murder cases that end in an execution had a white victim.

If you want to go looking for the golden stat that proves in all of this that blacks are just more "murdery" and that is not indicative at all of institutionalized prejudice, then go right ahead. The stats I've found show otherwise, strongly so, and trying to pretend that they don't matter is just willful ignorance and indicates prejudice.

As with Dark Knights ignorance, I can't KNOW that you are a racist. You could be a completely tolerant person. All I have to go by is your posts. So I could be wrong. I am open to and hopeful of that possibility.
