Every time I hear phrases like "preserving the sanctity of marriage" I gag inwardly.

I actually would love to see someone like Bloomberg form a moderate group that could bring together libertarian-minded Republicans and centrist Democrats and let the fringes marginalize themselves on the right and left.

Sadly, it's probably not likely to happen any time soon.
