3. What do you think will be the role of organic food in 20 years? Will it continue to grow in the future?
hopefully yes, hopefully a return to better values about agriculture that isn't business focused.
That is one possibility. Increased use of biotechnology and understanding of how food affects health would make agriculture even more business focused. It's not necessarily a terrible thing.
4. At least the world's population will continue to grow. Is it sensible to push for organic farming with its low crop yields when people are starving?
this isn't the problem - the problem is distribution. if you could send all the wasted food from the usa to africa, who would starve? how do we get more food to starving people is the question. there is enough food. the reason people are starving is due to poverty and lack of access to resources, not crop yield.
Indeed. Better processing of food and better packaging technology is definitely needed. But with crops being used for making biofuel and people in some developing countries starting to shift towards a more western diet I'm sure we also need an increase in food production.
I'd be interested in knowing what you guys think about organic food

I think organic food is a luxury that few will want as food prices increase in the coming decades.

I think the organic movement is mostly a big scam: an excuse to charge more money for less food.

Actually, I believe the "no pesticides" part predates the "no GMOs" part.
