I have seen nothing on turning a semi-auto BAR into a fully automatic one. Joel Send a noteboard - 22/12/2012 01:11:12 AM
As I try to explain to people from time to time, a semi-automatic is an improvement on a fully automatic weapon. Semi = better than = Full Auto

Not that I had looked until about an hour ago, but what I have found so far says it is impossible. Not saying you are wrong; you know the specs far better than I, but there seems to be a world of difference between military-to-civilian conversions and exclusively, originally, civilian designs. Be careful, now; I am sure the last thing you want to do is lend credence to the anti-gun lobbys claims ALL semi-automatics can be made fully automatic after a couple minutes filing down the firing pin. ;)

Oh I wasn't commenting on the standard of people here - 21/12/2012 11:29:36 PM 1078 Views
you're largely correct, which is why we need stronger laws on ownership not guns per se - 21/12/2012 09:39:14 PM 1042 Views

Some semi-autos are easily modified for full auto fire, making the distinction one w/o a difference. - 21/12/2012 10:53:59 PM 1141 Views
Correction: virtually all semi-automatics are easily convertable - 21/12/2012 11:23:35 PM 1076 Views

No, we should enact gun regulation the Constitution explicitly empowers. - 26/12/2012 09:02:12 PM 1007 Views
