I confess to being confused as to your point, it seemed as though you were saying that Timothy wasn't in most protestant bibles
Books have been deleted and returned to the Bible on multiple occasions. Timothy is just my favorite example because it has some of the most "women should be barefoot and pregnant" statements and is often removed or carefully ignored by more progressive variations of Christianity & Luther is perhaps the best know of biblical editors/reformers.
I'm guessing you're referring to 1 Timothy 2:12 "I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet." (NIV)
Obviously that's a controversial one. I'm not aware of it having ever been left out either, but certainly alternate translations are common enough. I'm unclear on what you feel protestant versions are leaving out here or have left out, if you could be a bit more specific.
