"Which of the following frightens you more?"
A) Cobras - 89%
B) Bunny Rabbits - 4%
C) Puppies - 3%
D) Kittens - 2%
Twice as many say rabbits as kittens but it doesn't mean twice as many people fear rabbits as kittens, it just means of those people who finds venomous reptiles less scary then furry critters, or enjoy lying to the pollster for kicks, twice as many said that. Or alternatively *"From people with skewed views of the world or prone to lying for fun, here's how they broke up". Minus Cobras you might get kittens 34% and rabbits 27%
Most of the answers on that survey translate as "Money Problems", and the ones which don't you're talking about the breakdown on opinion of those who don't think the economy is the biggest current issue. Might as well start a poll off with "Which of you think smoking is healthy? All right, if you didn't raise your hand, thanks for coming, of those of you who did, which food do you consider least healthy, A - Red meat, B ..." etc. and reporting those results as 'a poll of average Americans'
