But sorry here in the US the practice of wanting to punish people for what they think or for not supporting the right ideals is pretty much the playground of the left. Like or the term brown shirt or not we do have mobs of angry left wing extremist who to shot down, intimidate and attack people on the right they don't agree with. Prominent right wing speakers at our state funded universities are harassed to point we they can not even speak. The left wing ivory tower liberals who run the school this behavior almost to point of encouraging and some of the tax payer supported professors not only encourage but help to organize.
No it isn't Brown shirts but for a libertarian country like the US it is a big step in that direction.
