Your choices in wording implied to me that your mind was already made up. Apparently, Legolas got the same impression from your exchanges with him. If I was wrong then I owe you an apology.

My response to you overall would be that mental health issues and how they are best treated can not be oversimplified into simple pigeon holes. They are far too complex for that. Comparisons between disparate issues affecting different people are rarely, if ever, valid. I would hesitate to compare those impacting family members because every situation is different and treatments often are as well. There is no one size fits all.
