So then if/when you have a friend who is anorexic, and they finally give in and reach for something to eat, do you slap it out of their hand? Do you tell them to not give in, but to pursue their actions so that their body can match their mind?

No. You'd never do that. You'd help your friend get to a healthy place.

This whole conversation pertains to why is this specific topic different. No one has been able articulate why besides the individual wants it real bad, and the effort to help their mind align with reality is less then just giving them what they want.

As for the second topic....of gender vs sexuality vs male vs female and how they are linked, or unlinked, is a whole different conversation.
