Second,
I didn't even read what you wrote past: "you can't use logic in an irrational argument"
It just struck me as funny. I mean, YOU saying that.. was funny.
So, take it back.

I found THAT a little ironic; it was hard to tell WHAT you meant from three letters, but, no, not really the same; you didn't criticize me personally, and you did address my arguments, I just needed a little clarification. Think about it: I write a book, someone replies with three letters; which chapter prompted them...?
) But, yeah, I know what I said, and meant it the way you heard: It's perfectly OK to have an emotional argument in emotional terms, but logic has about as much place there as a matador. Sometimes I talk in terms of emotion, and others in terms of logic (unless I or someone I care about a lot is personally involved it's more often the latter than the former, I believe; when you've seen me fly off the handle, how often has it been during a dispassionate debating club meeting...?
) Either is fine, IMHO, but "don't bring a knife to a gun fight. " Aisha is trying, or so it seems to me, to reason with someone going with their gut, and it can't be done. To resolve the impasse I think she's going to have to either start talking in emotional terms or convince her friend to discuss it rationally. There's nothing wrong with agreeing to disagree either, I just hope her friend can see that.
