Sometimes I talk in terms of emotion, and others in terms of logic (unless I or someone I care about a lot is personally involved it's more often the latter than the former, I believe; when you've seen me fly off the handle, how often has it been during a dispassionate debating club meeting...? ) Either is fine, IMHO, but "don't bring a knife to a gun fight. Aisha is trying, or so it seems to me, to reason with someone going with their gut, and it can't be done. To resolve the impasse I think she's going to have to either start talking in emotional terms or convince her friend to discuss it rationally.
