The entire POINT of tips is that "Oh, this guy doesn't get paid much, and he did an extra special job, so I'm going to toss him a few bucks under the table."


They're NOT to subsidize a cheapass boss.

As a pizza guy, do you have to share out your tips at all? If not, I'd say keep as much as you can to yourself, just out of spite.



And as a sidenote- I pretty much always tip in restaurants, and a few other times when it falls into the "personal serviceman who gets paid less than minimum wage but is giving me personal attention."

So, yes to a haircutter at one of those big chains, no to a barber that owns his own shop.
