It was a heluva lot of effort to dissolve that paste in the boiling water. 

More than dumping a can in the pot and being done with it!

To me it's about the ingredients in said bouillon. Not the degree which Isaac is talking about. Although, I do work that hard at it sometimes.
I was going to make that point too...choosing the organic, low-sodium bouillon and being conscious of the ingredients that are IN the processed/convenience items you make already puts you ahead of the game.
