The partition of India, the fall of Constantinople and the Balkan tensions that catalyzed the Great War never occur without Islams vibrant early expansion. On the other hand, Islams Golden Age maintained and increased Greco-Roman learning, in an age when Europe was concerned with nothing more than looking back to the glory days of Christian Rome and the Great Library was little more than legend (though the final end of that monument came at the hands of Muslim conquerors. )
