yeah, a lot of great things came out of the Renaissance, but it was the Renaissance of Greek and Roman ideals, not of Christianity. So I wouldn't so much say that Christianity inspired a lot of artistic development, so much as prolonged and enriched the Greek and Roman era topoi.
I know I just did a survey, but this was too good to pass up.
