It is absolutely about trying to end the struggle and the pain. It's about concluding it's the only way to do so - and then acting on that. So far I have not done the latter because you are also right that it is not the only way to cope with the pain. It just seems that way, particularly when pounding vodka shots at 3 am with a shitty movie on the tube.

I'd like that. The hard part is making myself do it.
