The emotional (and in your view, moral) aspect has absolutely no bearing. We're looking at straight facts here. They have no Right to be here. Which means that we have every Right to have them not be here. If that means building a wall as a first deterrent, so be it. Will it stop illegal immigration? No. Absolutely not.

However there's a lesson I learned from work. Don't let perfect get in the way of better. Any decrease is good and worth it.
