But this thread was about the wall, significant or not.

We all know what this and every other hot button issue is really about. It’s about playing to your base. No one cares if it is feasible or even ever really happens, just as long as their core constituencies are happy. So, Bernie pushes Medicare for All, not caring that it will cost 3.4 trillion per year and will never pass. AOC pushes her Green New Deal, which again will never pass in a million years. And President Trump pushes his wall. Will it get built? Doesn’t matter. Best case scenario for him? He issues an Executive Order to build it and the Supreme Court declares it unconstitutional. Everyone wins.
