View original postFrom just face value, I would say that they are both good plays. One is exercising a prerogative that he actually has, and the second is not missing an opportunity.
Using the crisis to do fundraising is one thing - though that does confirm the view I've long held that Trump has never had any interest in seriously performing the job of president, he's just addicted to the ego boost of winning elections and being adored at his rallies. The sooner he can stop having to pretend to care about his duties and start going back to campaigning full time, the happier he'll be.
But anyway, the fundraising itself is one thing, the pathetic wording and conspiracy theory mongering of that letter is quite another. And did nobody ever tell his team that all that capitalization just makes them look desperate? Though I will admit I'm not familiar with fundraising emails and don't have much to compare this one to.
