How is this even about the media? It's about the credibility of governments, not the media. Legolas Send a noteboard - 10/07/2019 10:52:11 PM

And with the rise of social media lately, the government can even bypass the mainstream media entirely, sharing its version of events directly with whoever happens to follow officials on Twitter or Facebook or whatever.

View original postTrump capitalized on the distrust created by a media that has moved so far to the political left that they cannot even see the center any longer. People don't trust the media because they are unworthy of trust.

View original postUsing the far left talking point "Fake News" to describe political propaganda is a great demonstration of that. Politico is nothing more than left rag posing as a journalism.

Hardly. Their news articles are neutral and the opinion pieces, like this one, cover a range of political positions. A number of their regular contributors are conservatives and they regularly publish one-off pieces from politicians all over the political spectrum. You might say it's biased towards Washington insiders, as the name already kind of indicates, but then from both parties.

I suppose for hard-core Trump fans, there is indeed a shortage of like-minded voices in Politico, but I didn't exactly have you pegged for one of those. Conservatives who didn't flush all their principles down the toilet in favour of blind Trump-worship will still find plenty of good stuff to read in Politico.
