Nixon was a phenomenally effective and I would even say great President. The things that he achieved in his Presidency would have long-ranging effects that are still felt today and reflect the fact that he and his team, which included some of the best and brightest, really achieved a lot.
If anything, he's the closest person in the Twentieth Century to the main character from a Greek tragedy. He achieved greatness but his flaws undermined everything and saw his legacy destroyed.
As a President, though, he achieved far more, and did far more good, than douchebags like Kennedy, who get a lot more praise from the morons who have no idea what they're talking about.
