I have to go with Bergioyn as morning's not being my good time, but I noticed Fox's comment this morning and I have a little time before I need to dash off for the day - so barring the immediate hour or so I'm not likely to reply or post anything till late tonight (late eastern US time).
Note: All that follows is not really related to the current game
Something of a sidenote in the meantime for those who are interested while I'm thinking about it, the colon thing was less a lucky find then force of habit, as I've mentioned in the past the site's search function is very valuable for modding and researching comments, you can't do a useful word search for "Vote" because you'll get tons of hits, or vote: name because people shorten them a lot, but when modding, a search for " Vote:" is pretty trustworthy (note the space before vote or you'll get unvotes too, nobody misspells vote much and that reliably gets hits, so handy tip for the day, obviously if you want all your votes and unvotes at once, don't insert a space character before the word 'vote:'. Anyway I ran that as the fastest way to find where I was at when I came home to the avalanche, and it put me at L-1, which was a discrepancy, I was irritated when I tracked that down and was thinking 'people need to remember that colon, I should emphasize that in the rules' and behold, epiphany
It's actually a recurring irritation because things of a similar nature have thrown themselves up as hurdles before, 'grasping at straws' aside, I have been meaning to address the rules regarding ambiguous or challenged votes for a while now, and I haven't forgotten the mod continuity issue that got raised a couple games back I just haven't come up with a decent work around for that, the best I've come up with is a rather shoddy and time consuming dead drop option where a mod could NB a copy of all his NBs to others and any un-NB'd 'surprises', which would be a real pain for events, psycho cops and unknowing millers, such an account to be passworded to only one or maybe two trusted active players where the mods would know if someone had opened them - like how I knew fox hadn't opened his NB from me last night, which is what brought this to mind. Needless to say, this isn't really a great option. Another workaround would be a mod creating a password for such a drop and dividing the password up between a few players, essentially a double key method like for nukes
Like I could make an account 'Mr Copy' I NB'd copies of all my correspondence and game data too, pick 1tz2er3dm and then send two players 1tz, two more 2er, and 2 more 3dm, applying a little common sense on who to select, and if I disappeared into the void for a week players could NB the chosen sub-mod their passwords fragments, and that person could access 'Mr Copy' and proceed. Obviously a little labor intensive, but in theory only particularly complex games with lots of mod-only data or events would be an issue. Anyway, thoughts on that are welcome, my current solutions still make me feel 'wait it out or call the game' are better options but I did say I'd think about solutions for it. Fox has replied so this is a good place to leave off.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
