Re: Its probably the blind mason loyalty thing, but I'm inclined to trust Isaac.
Isaac Send a noteboard - 18/11/2010 06:00:06 PM
I came into the game figuring that with a three person mason group, at least one of us would be scum. But after finding out that fist and ? were in a mason group I don't see why ours would be infiltrated. Either both (or all, there's probably more) are infested, or none are.
You propose killing FT in spite of the fact that no one has counter-claimed having the SPLOG, and Kronin says he tracked him to me? Its pretty clear FT has the thing, he can't be scum, why would we lynch him if I'm innocent?
That being said, this is weird. You say you believe FT is the cop, but you still don't think you should be lynched. You think he's an insane cop? That the SPLOG is disfunctional? I just want to make sure. In a game with this flavor, there would be a reason you were found to be Skrull. Just straight up malfunction on SPLOG's part, or is there a reason you would be found guilty?
I covered it but it's probably buried on the far right of the screen. LAst night when I asked you guys about the SPLOG scene and whether or not you had any discrepancies, you said no, later Fox said no, and I said "Yes, locked", I had intro text indicating a player would need to have access to the SPLOG to use it... I'd initially asusmed that meant the case was locked and since it was intact only you or Fox, other Fan 4 members, would have the ability tog et it out without breaking the case or a teleporter might have gotten it out, but the text could just have easily meant that the device couldn't be used without it, my first thoughts though was that you or Fox would have it and the other one would be a scummer, it had the right plot twist feel to it, which is why I lef tmy night comments to you guys primairly talking about distrust, not amditting to having the SPLOG if you ha dit, and asking about a discrepancy involving the snippet of flavor text around the SPLOG and empty case. That's why I don't think FT's copping works, personally, and I presented the base of that evidence prior to his claim.
The major proof though is simply numbers. Even with 4 scummers three investigatory roles - a cop, a Bulletproof Watcher, and a Tracker would be absurd, and then DK came by and claimed investigator too, and apparently she and FT are masoned, and a masoned cop would be a major edge in of itself if it were to a townie. It just doesn't add up, typically in a game this size even a second investigator has indicated we had a flaw with the primary one, and its usually the primary investigator with the flaw, the cop not the tracker. So its just too much force even at 4 scummers, and would basically makes LyLo right now in all likelihood, since it would be rather unlikely the scummers wouldn't have an extra one-shot kill or something to offset 4 investigatory roles.
The next aspect of my defense hits the numbers game, we got our 6 votes out of 11, you and Fox weren't in it and must be town if I'm scum. I had been running the numbers primarily of 3 scummers and they were pretty bad, but 3 seems conservative with 4 investigators and other roles too, frankly even if they were all fully functional. To add to that, no one has counter-claimed on FT so he must be town, and DK says FT knows he can trust her and FT hasn't denied this and she hasn't voted for me, so
If Isaac=scum:
Scum = 4, town = 7
Fox, Hobo, DK, FT = town, 3 townies remaining
5 votes on me, not including FT, but only 3 townies
So if I am scum, 2 other scummers must voted for me
If we only have 3 scummers it still requires at least one of them to vote for me, unless both Yuna and DK are scummers
If I'm innocent, and we have 7 town and 4 scummers, those numbers are even worse, but it would allow for either you or Fox to be scum, and regardless means scummers are voting for me which is hardly a surprise. Either way, in each model, whether I'm scum or town, whether we have 3 or 4 scum, we have to have at least one scummer voting for me. For precedent, I'd point out no one's ever bussed me before as scum and no one's bussed under such a light proof situation at all, just off coppings or other really ironclad stuff besides. So Mathemetically it is impossible for me under any model, if scum, to have gotten those votes without at least 1 and likely more bussing votes, which we've zero reason to think should have happened.
That's the summary of the copping and numbers aspects.
And you may be right about Rana. It's him or you in my mind.
Yeah, I think if people consider it they'll see he's a logical option, the copping breakdown is pretty obvious barring mega imbalance in the game, and that's the only 'solid' thing on me. I'd maintain that proposing to lynch a very prob-townie is worse than proposing a no lynch, and if he wants to say that he wasn't serious about that, I think my case for not expecting a no lynch to go through ha smore credibility and was less anti-town either way

Personally I'm betting 3 scummers voted for me, 2 minimum, and that FT is almost definitely on the level, Kronin very probably is, and ? is decent odds, out of the remainder, at least one has to be scum and ranagrande seems the most probable bet.
I'd also like to raise the LYLo specter again, there's been heavy pressure to finish this vote off, actually going for a smaller window than we usually give to players who barely try to defend themselves and I've be richocheting pretty much everything on me and had votes dropping off. So that's another 'weird thing', all the new data and no one wants to correlate it? MY thoughts are that if we have this much role power than 4 scum is very, very probable as is an extra NK, they could easily feel a rush to vote was fine, because three kills - a lynch plus two NKs - would end the game. Why not force a fast vote when you've got at least some reason to claim it was legit and you can probably end things before anyone can object anyway?
