I think the danger of entering in the Flesh is that you no longer have an anchor in the real world and are quite possibly leaving that piece of your soul behind (as the WOs think) because TAR requires some anchor to exist or it will drain you ... just a thought.
Is there a consensus about what would happen if you were to enter TAR in the flesh, alter your body with your mind, and exit TAR while those alterations were in place.
What if Rand had lost the mental struggle against LTT when he followed Rahvin to TAR. Would his body have physically changed to match that of LTT, and would that change have been permanent even after he (or possibly LTT) left TAR.
This ofcourse brings up the whole possibility of Rand restoring his lost hand by imagining a new one. It also has more significant possibilities such as an old channeler altering his body to a younger/healthier version and essentially becoming immortal that way. Presumably this would be well known if possible, so either it is not, or there is some unknown and heavy price for using TAR for such flesh-manipulation.
