Re: "Mesanna did have oathes, just not the 3 AS ones". No she didn't

No Forsaken took any Oath on the Rod. In fact, any regular Darkfriend never took any Oath. Except Black Ajah of course.
Black Ajah had access to the Rod and they NEED to look ageless, so, thus, the Black Ajah Oaths.
Black Ajah had access to the Rod and they NEED to look ageless, so, thus, the Black Ajah Oaths.
Never claimed that they took oaths on the OR, in fact I agree 100% that they did not considering their attitude towards the AS of this age who voluntarily do. However Messy and all of the forsaken do take oaths to the dark. In fact the difference betwen the Forsaken and the rest of the DFs is that they perform their oaths at SG directly to the DO. We just don"t know how "binding" those oaths are.
But this is irrelevant to the conversation! We are talking about effects the Rod has on the channelers. Not some other type of oaths and some other means to swear them. We are specifically talking about the Oath the Aes Sedai are taking using the Rod.
Since Mesaana never took the Oath on the Rod, we don't know the effect it would have on her to unswear them. My theory is that it has Oath-negative effect and as soon as channeler take the Oath, its nullified by the Oath-negative effect.
The big problem with my theory so far is that in Age of Legends any criminal channeler could've unswore before was administered the punishment and thus escaping it alltogether.
But maybe Dominic is right (in some of his post he mentioned it) and you have to swear-unswear on the same Rod in order to have the effect. We actually don't know what happens to the Aes Sedai that want to unswear the Oaths on the different Rod. We saw that Galina was forced to take different Oaths on different Rod, but it's not the same.
How did Mesaana beat the Oath Rod?

That isn't tricking the oath rod, the way I'm understanding his answer. That's tricking humans *NM*

As mentioned above, your theory is not about defeating Oath Rod.

Perhaps she pressed, and held the on/off switch, so that the Oaths never triggered? *NM*

Or she didn't swear on it, because she's a servant.

I doubt Mesaana stands high enough to have TP access right now. She's probably the lowest FS. *NM*
