Unless maybe there is something unique about Rand that allows him to do things that other channelers cannot and it HAD to be him that would destroy the pattern for some reason.


This, plus my theory is that Moridin cannot/will not channel the OP. And nobody else could be trusted with that much power, not even the other FS.
