Produce has a very modern feel to it. I'm sure some fundi is now going to pull out a replica letter from Walter Raleigh to Queen Elizabeth, where he mentions his farms that "produce" cotton, or whatever.

The point is, I can't remember RJ ever using that word, and I'm pretty sure Elayne referred to the Two Rivers as growing the finest tobacco, rather than producing it.

I may be wrong, but the word just jumped out at me as feeling wrong.

It feels too Economics 101, from the 20th century.
