yes thousands and thousands AFTER hundreds of years. these kids were probably slowing since birth. Onarishma Send a noteboard - 03/01/2011 08:19:22 PM
No, that's her first experience in the columns, where she saw the traditional Aiel history, and the ??? marker indicates I'm highly uncertain about the precision of that timing. Her second experience began the same day she finished the first; I marked it as between 811 and 821, since there's an interlude where she ends one vision and sees the sun shining, indicating that Rand's epiphany has happened. Since we have that marker, I'm more certain of the timing for the second experience.
Damn. There goes my theory. I was certain her visions of the future had to be while Rand was still Dark Rand, since anything else wouldn't really make sense (imho). If she did go in the second time on day 811, and Rand transformed day 815, then it's still narrowly possible that her visions were at least partly of the Dark-Rand future, though.

But that's assuming her visions were true ones in the first place. I don't think they were, because the prophecy said that "only a remnant of a remnant" would survive the LB, but in the visions there are thousands and thousands of Aiel.

Do you expect the Aiel population to remain small after hundreds of years? even if the Dragon children really were only 18 or so there is no reason to believe they were born immediately following the last battle.
