I don't care for Faile that much either, but we have seen it ample times that Faile is more politically suave than Perrin, who lets face it, is somewhat naive when it comes to politcal and military matters.

Faile has always said that she is willing to go to great lengths to protect Perrin and she did just that. Killing Masema is somewhat dark but I wouldn't describe it as cruel.


I've never been a big Faile fan, but that moment might just make a fan out of me. She took the crazy man bent on killing her husband out. Is there any way Masema and the rest of his followers didn't have to die? It was good to find out that he at least really does believe in what he is doing and was being manipulated, but all those cruel people needed to be taken out, if not to protect Perrin than to protect the other nameless people who have been burned, beaten, maimed, killed and tortured by these people.

Then again, I'm one of those people who had people appalled in KoD when I was happy that Galina and Suroth got what they had coming to them.
