Egwene learned compulsion from Moghedien and how to counter it. This being Egwene, she either pulled out from Moghedien that there were subtler forms of compulsion, or figured it out herself. We know Elayne and Nynaeve did:
Some of what the woman knew was just too repulsive. Compulsion, for instance, bending people's will, and a way to implant instructions so the recipient would not even remember the orders when he carried them out. Worse things. Too repulsive, and maybe too dangerous to trust anyone with. Nynaeve said they had to learn
them in order to learn how to counter them, but Elayne did not want to.
Its highly unlikely that Egwene wouldn't get suspicious if she woke one day to find herself more mistrustful of Rand, or the Asha'man. Either way, we've seen her express sentiments contrary to both these, so its not like such a compulsion is even likely to exist. And nor would Aran'gar have been punished if she had succeeded in something like this.
Didn't Nynaeve have to delve in order to find traces of compulsion and then remove it? Can an individual delve themselves?
We have seen one individual detect and remove compulsion from another, we have never seen an individual detect and remove compulsion from themselves.
Aran'gar was able to remain close to Egwene for an extended period of time. There was a lot of time to experiment and tweak any compulsion. Done slowly over a long period of time could have made it very difficult for Egwene or anyone around Egwene to notice any change in attitude, especially if the change in attitude reflected what most AS already felt.
All good things come to those who wait.
