Someone got to have all the lucky breaks without any need of merit. You are just unhappy with the unfairness of it all, but the fans in general just don't care about it. Just accept it and move on.

If you ask Bill Gates to start over again, can he create another successful monopoly? But whatever criticism you lay on him, that does not undo what he has accomplished. Though, I wonder, if another character receives this type of lucky breaks, would you be happier, or you just move on and attack the unfairness of that too.

I am thinking on this scenario: Rand feels better at the end of tGS. When he gets back, he meets Aviendha back from the Waste before anything else. And everyone just attributes the transformation of Rand to the presence and influence of Aviendha, when it is not her doing at all.

The attribution error is such a common cognitive bias, there is no point for you to keep pointing it out. And frankly, I am not sure people even want to be corrected on all kinds of cognitive biases in a fiction. How can a person enjoy any entertainment in a constant cognitive dissonance?
