As balefire is the only way to be sure a foresaken is killed, using it wasn't an atrocity, it was a necessity.

Did you bother to read the chapter. You know the one were it mentions that she is smarter than Rand.

Anyone who is not as intelligent as their enemy can cause huge damage to the Pattern? See my reply above on alternate ways Rand could have just balefired her.


Rand is ta'veren. He is tightly connected to the wheel. The wheel controls the actions of ta'veren. Rand's actions are what the pattern wants/needs to take place.
