Did I say she committed any atrocities? I was addressing the hypothetical situation of deliberately killing a sister or novice because she had been captured. That WOULD be immoral. Shooting down a to'raken that happened to have Aes Sedai or novice prisoners, even if you KNEW they were on its back and were pleading for help or mercy, WAS justified! It's not your fault they are on that to'raken, and the guilt for their deaths belongs with those who forcibly put them there. ALL the to'raken were legitimate targets because they belonged to the enemy and were currently in the enemy's service, and engaged in an act of aggressive warfare. Sucks to be the captives.

On the other hand, justifying the deaths of the captives on such spurious grounds as "better to be dead than a damane" is bull-crap. If their deaths cannot be helped, that is all, and no word games are needed to justify those deaths. If their deaths were not necessary, claiming that it is "kinder" to kill them is a self-serving lie to excuse your actions. Deliberately targeting sisters to deny them to the Seanchan would be evil. Destroying to'raken, even fleeing ones, is not, regardless of who's on their backs.
