What are the odds of Graendal bragging (or off-handedly commenting out loud) to someone about killing Asmo seven books later?
I can't really imagine any character doing that, let alone someone who keeps her cards as close to her chest as Graendal.
Hearing it from a third person would be lame and really diminish how perplexing this mystery is (IMHO).

Graendal would mention it to somebody if it was in her best interests to do so, she has proven remarkably frank in the past if it suits her. I imagine that a scenario could easily be constructed where this could happen
What do I care that you believe it to be lame? I merely said that it could happen this way. Besides just because you think it's lame doesn't mean squat, unless you can convince Harriet and Tor that you should finish the books.

There's nothing in those quotes that even touches on who killed Asmodean.

Logain is just making too much of a RJ comment in which he said he'd "probably" do it that way.
