We can safely assume that Demandred was behind Dragonsworn and Masema in the first place. Then, why not Demandred who commanded to kill Perrin to Masema?

Lanfear always believed that she and Rand should be worshipped as gods. When Rand fought above Falme she was present in that last scene, and Masema turned crazy shortly after that. We also know from Semirhage that Lanfear likes to interfere and cause devastation. It's likely that Lanfear was trying to create the 'army' that would worship Rand when she and he ruled the world together. Either worship the Lord Dragon or die, as Masema said.

Graendal said that Cyndane was in the south causing trouble and recruiting for the Final Battle. Around this time, the Dragon Reborn appeared to Masema as a godly light which is a perversion of Rand that Cyndane both loved and hated. We also know from Graendal that Cyndane was trying to get the ta'veren killed, so it's likely she went after Perrin through Masema, as Moridin commanded.

You've previously stated that he is not in Shara, since Graendal was there. I suspect you also don't believe in the Land of the Madmen theory, and now you've discounted him as the Forsaken appearing to Masema.

So, what DO you think Demandred has been doing over the course of 12 books, and why do you think RJ's built up such a big mystery around it?

I have no idea what Demandred's being doing, or where he is. Not even the Chosen know, so what chance do I have?

There are many theories out there about Demandred, and most have the same probability of success. He could be in one of the remaining nations, but I consider all of those to be insubstantial relative to Rand and Moridin's own personal power. He could also be in one of Rand's nations busy turning the tide on the place - like Tear or Andor, or Seanchan. Or maybe he's in a parallel world gathering an army - he could have Travelled there or gone via a portal stone.
