1. A visit with Verin. That scene was perfect... the shock on Egwene, the fact that you were still guessing until Verin connected all the dots for you, and the way she died. It brought to mind Socrates taking his own poison knowing it was for the greater good. Verin gets mad props from Phelix.

So, would any of you like to share your favorites and dislikes?


I wonder why Verin had to die. I mean could she not just have drank the poison and told all this while she was with Rand. Rand could then have had Nynaeve to heal her afterwards.

Or better yet, have someone still her. That would free her of all oaths. Then she could have had Flinn heal her and presto, oath free Black Ajah with a bonus of extra lifespan.

I agree. How did the Black Ajah hunters get around this issue with Talene?

Even if she really wanted to die out of guilt or something, why not just overchannel enough power to burn herself out. She could then have had many hours or days to describe plans of the Shadow in detail and answer questions. And only THEN commit suicide.

I don't think the sisters Rand stilled and who were healed tried to hide the fact that they were released from the oaths so Verin should have known of this loophole.

This felt a bit like a cheap way to boost Egwene at Verin's expense. Unless ofcourse Verin faked her death. That would be great. :)
