That argument is wrong... fionwe1987 Send a noteboard - 12/01/2010 10:48:57 PM

If Semirhage simply had taken him to SG, the Shadow could have done anything to Rand (who probably would be quite broken after killing Min by himself). Therefore I don't see the DO - the "ur-control freak" - giving away this advantage by allowing Rand to free himself and kill one of his best Forsaken with the DO's own power, just for the chance that this might already turn Rand to the Shadow (which didn't happen in the end).

Moridin knows quite well that Rand is powerfully ta'veren, and I'm sure the DO knows too. Taking him to SG might have been severely counter productive.

Moridin's Sha'rah game makes it clear that the plan is to attempt to damage Rand only in such ways that the Pattern cannot counter easily. Capture had already failed, spectacularly. It is very unlikely Moridin would trust to that again.

Did Cadsuane actually get any secrets from Semirhage during her breakdown? - 12/01/2010 01:38:04 PM 1251 Views
I don't think Cadsuane learned anything from Semirhage... - 12/01/2010 02:09:26 PM 682 Views
Of course it was necessary to the plot. It's why Shaitan sacrificed Semirhage. *NM* - 12/01/2010 04:28:10 PM 255 Views
Doubt that Rand's TP use was intended - 12/01/2010 04:44:12 PM 516 Views
It seems very reasonable that the DO would give Rand access to the TP - 12/01/2010 05:22:17 PM 537 Views
i thought BSand said that the DO wasn't aware ... am I making that up? *NM* - 12/01/2010 05:24:26 PM 225 Views

A rescue attempt at SG seems pretty difficult, though. And Min would be dead. - 13/01/2010 08:09:33 AM 462 Views
