But Graendal could have told SH! Nothing in this answer precludes that.
Why not Mesaana or Demandred? Linking Graendal to this whole thing is utterly absurd. It would mean that Graendal would have had to arrive there NOT knowing about Elza, and then coincidentally delved her and found a surprise.
There's one reason why that wouldn't be true. The moment Graendal channeled to remove the compulsion, Semi would have sensed her. She would have suspected FS involvement in her escape, and smelled a trap.
Lol. You mean with dozens of Aes Sedai on the estate, Semirhage would have been surprised to sense saidar? As if Graendal would be clumsy enough to not hide her weaves anyway.
Graendal could have known for a long time that Elza was under a Compulsion and just never cared to do anything about it since this Compulsion actually forwarded the goals of the DO, or at least didn't hinder them.
It's as simple as she mentioned that Elza would be a poor tool unless it was removed ... I mainly have a hard time believing that SH can now magically implant AoL weaves into peoples heads.
Domani Drag Queen in the White Tower ... Aran'gar watch out!
