I have to admit that, somehow, having read Solaris recently enhanced the experience. I was a little more open-minded wnd looking at it from a better point of view. Though my experience of reading the book was more of a chore than a joy, it did do some good.

Hmm, was that because they are completely opposite? Solaris was so alien no contact was even possible. Pandorans are so human-like they even speak English for your convenience.
