You have to wonder if it's a coincidence for Cedric, the big hero of Hufflepuff, to be called "Diggory", when the Hufflepuff symbol is a badger, an animal which obviously digs rather a lot. And while we're at it, their head of house, the aptly named Pomona Sprout, teaches a subject that involves quite a bit of digging as well.

One might argue Draco Malfoy and Lee (in the Dutch translation Leo, works better there, it's a bit of a stretch in English) Jordan have similar connections to their houses, in Draco's case it seems likely to have been intentional - he too is the big hero of his house, after all. Haven't found anyone with an eagle-related name in Ravenclaw... I guess that might have been too hard to do subtly.
