You just can't make it look like the Disney adaptation of the classic.

You are also ignoring fact that Disney paid for the right to use some of those stories. Disney had to but the rights to Peter Pan and 101 Dalmatians, he couldn't just use them because they were not public domain. I think he had to pay to Jungle Book as well and if you took the time look I am sure he paid for others as well.

So he didn't just copyright them.
