Because regardless of how your great great grandparents got married or how much milk she shoots out her nose giggling the tradition of church marriage has been around for centuries. Yes there are other old traditions that we have gotten rid but this is a very popular tradition. Millions of girls spend hours planning the perfect church wedding. Millions of dads spend tens of thousands of dollars giving their little princess the perfect church wedding. Now we should make that marriage a fake ceremony to advance the social engineering goals of the far left fringe?

Good luck selling that.
