I would classify my church as Bible literalists. The bits that are obviously poetical language we read in that way.

Homosexual marriage, which would involve homosexual sex, is one of a number of things that, we believe, we are told not to do. Forcing us to do even one of these things would undermine our church significantly. It is our ... task to live our lives adhering as much to those rules as possible out of thankfulness for the wondrous things God has done for us. If we were no longer allowed to that, our lives become difficult.

We hurt no one, we do not force anyone to do anything against their will, so why would the State be interested in what we do?

Now. Tell me which sin my church sanctions? Because I'm fascinated to see what you mean by that.
