Not just Roman Catholics, y'know, everyone who thinks God was not BSing about judgement.

I realize that is not everyone who claims the Christian label, but the very concepts of salvation and Saviors are absurd if judgement is. Secular humanism is a perfectly legitimate philosophy, but I respect its adherents far more when they are honest enough with themselves and others not to indulge the pretense of a "religion" they treat as no more than a fictional parable for their philosophy. That problem is hardly unique to Christianity, but it does, unfortunately, flourish within many denominations, particularly those whose primary focus is Sunday morning buffets.
Universalist theology suffers from the same fatal flaw as fire and brimstone theology: They both trivialize the Christians love for God, the first by making it automatic and the second by making it irrelevant. I find it very telling that there are so many diverse philosophies trivialize loving God, almost as if some more than allegorical being were actively encouraging that....
