sorry to sound rude, but do they not have a police force where your dad lives? i have a hard time believing that a robbery can be committed involving guns and the police would just sit around and wait for one of those guns to turn up instead of investigating, taking fingerprints, etc. i realize there is a lot of waiting around for something like that, but from some of the cops i've debated this very issue with, they have an idea of who to go to to buy a stolen weapon.
Yes, there is a police force in his town. And no, despite this particular event occuring MORE THAN A YEAR AGO, nothing has happened.
The problem with your premise is that whoever stole the guns intended to sell them, which could well not be the case - and likely is so, after so long without any further evidence surfacing.
Do you have strong feelings/opinions about gun control?
