I'm on your side, more or less (generally against most forms of gun control), but you shouldn't twist things just to suit your position. To say that the public doesn't care is both misleading and incorrect. They DO care, they just don't think gun control is the most important issue. By your line of reasoning, only 18% of the country cares about unemployment. Only 6% cares about healthcare. Obvious nonsense.
